Well done guys! and THANK YOU! There's a LOT of rubbish out there that causes glitches with other programs, downloads hidden extras that do the same - SUPERAntiSpyware is clean and smooth and just does the job! Again. For example, if I want to write a script to download. They seem really professional and proud of their product. I've made do with the free version for years, but have decided today, after reading the responses the developers have given to others who have left reviews, I'm won over. and there's always a marked difference in PC speed and function straight after I've scanned and rebooted. Tried 'em all and read all their reviews.
I'm one for doing a bucket-load of research and have tried a multitude of programs but they all pale in effectiveness and efficiency to this one. I'm very interested to get the thoughts of others.I've used SUPERAntiSpyware for at least 10 years now and I've never found anything remotely as effective. Running a subsequent scan in regular mode with the installed version came up clean and he's been good to go since then. We rebooted into regular mode and we were able to update the version of SUPERAntiSpyware that he had installed on the desktop. 20 minutes later it found and removed 40 files associated with PC Protector (nasty rogue infection). I double-clicked the portable scanner and it started doing its thing. We booted into Safe Mode w/out networking and accessed the USB drive. I downloaded the portable to a USB drive and took it to his office. He was getting pop-ups and re-directs and his wife was freaking out. My first experience was addressing an issue that my insurance agent had with his computer. If I should re-post this comment there, I'm happy to do so.
It may be that I searched for SUPERAntiSpyware rather than superantispyware or such. My apologies, I did a search but it didn't come up.
